Amateur Zoologist Club

At the Amateur Zoologists Club, sessions are hands-on, interactive, and led by our expert Safari Academy team.

Designed primarily for adults aged 55+ with a lifelong interest in zoos, exotic animals, and animal biology, the club offers engaging, practical experiences that bring wildlife science to life.

The club runs across two sessions over a two-week period, featuring a range of activities led by our Safari Academy lecturers.

£70 per session.

Club Activities Include

Guided tours of our on-foot animal areas
Explore the park up close and gain insight into animal behaviour, habitats, and care routines.

Enrichment making for our smaller animals
Get creative by designing and building enrichment items that help stimulate and support animal wellbeing.

Discussion and activity workshops
Take part in interactive sessions focused on animal biology, zoo conservation, and the important role modern zoos play in protecting wildlife.

The Amateur Zoologists Club runs across two weeks during the summer holidays, with two sessions to choose from:

Club Session 1: 22nd & 23rd July (£70)
Club Session 2: 29th & 30th July (£70)

Session Times: 10:00am – 1:30pm
Price: £70 per session
