Things are Starting to get Spooky

We are getting ready to unleash our spookiest season yet, as Spooky Spectacular returns along with some brand-new features.

From 10 October to 1 November 2026, a monster mashup of Halloween entertainment, family-friendly thrills and plenty of spooky surprises is planned, to celebrate the season.

The Park will be transformed into a Halloween haven, with eerie decorations, atmospheric lighting and a host of monstrous characters waiting to entertain guests throughout the day.

Leading the spooky line-up is the return of Patch’s Pumpkin Party, where the pumpkin-headed scarecrow character will be taking to the stage for a lively show packed with dancing, thrills and plenty of spooky fun.

Guests can also keep their eyes peeled for Frankie and Mitzy, as the mischievous monsters make their way around the Discovery Trail during their spooky walkabouts, meeting guests and having their photos taken.

For those brave enough to stay at the Park as darkness falls, this year sees the arrival of a brand-new experience - Torchlight Tours: The Dinosaur Experiment.

As twilight creeps in, small groups will be invited to enter the Land of the Living Dinosaurs, armed with nothing but torchlight as they make their way along the trail.

With prehistoric creatures lurking in the shadows and mysterious characters guiding the way, guests will need to keep their wits about them as they discover what is waiting around the next corner.

The new tours will run on selected dates from 17 October to 1 November, with tours departing every 15 minutes from 4pm.

Bethan Davis, Senior PR & Events Executive, said: “Spooky Spectacular is always one of our favourite times of year, and this year we wanted to add even more atmosphere and adventure for our guests. From meeting charismatic characters such as Mitzy and Frankie and joining Patch’s Pumpkin Party live show, to hunting for movie monsters and getting creative with our spooky crafts, there’s plenty to keep families entertained throughout the day.

“We’re particularly excited to introduce our brand-new Torchlight Tours. Families will be taken into the Land of the Living Dinosaurs after dark, with just their torches to light the way, meeting a whole host of strange characters along the way. The tours will bring a completely different atmosphere to the dinosaur trail. The event will be spooky, mysterious and a lot of fun!”

For little monster hunters, the Movie Monsters Trail will see classic movie monsters let loose across the Discovery Trail. Guests can solve clues, hunt for the hidden monsters and collect a sweet treat once they have completed their quest.

Guests can also get creative at the Crazy Craft Club, capture the perfect Halloween photograph at the giant pumpkin photo point and take part in the Potion Pursuit Competition, with the chance to win an overnight stay in a Rhino Safari Lodge for five people.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to refuel during the festivities, with a selection of Halloween-themed treats including Frankie’s green bun burger, Mitzy’s bubble waffles and Patch’s spooky spicy pizza, alongside hot drinks and other seasonal favourites.

For those looking for an extra thrill, the Adventure Theme Park will also be open, with selected dates offering the chance to experience rides after dark.

Additionally, the Halloween celebrations will reach a spectacular peak on Saturday 31 October, when the Park will be open until 9pm for our brand-new Safari Skies Drone Show.

Hundreds of drones will take to the night sky, creating incredible wildlife-inspired images above the Park in a 12-minute display of light, movement and music.

Tickets include a full day at West Midlands Safari Park, including the four-mile Safari Drive, Safari Walk areas, Spooky Spectacular and the Safari Skies Drone Show. Guests can also choose tickets that include access to the Park’s rides.

With limited Early Bird tickets available, families can currently save more than 30% when booking in advance.

Spooky Spectacular and all its attractions are included in the standard admission cost and guests can book in advance online for the best prices, which also includes a free return visit.
